They really are the same length. I just can't take pictures upside down very well.

Pattern: Cable Twist modified for fingering weight yarn
Yarn: 2 skeins Koigu KPPM colorway #2233

ETA:
I love this pattern for fingering weight yarn. I may have to try it in worsted weight for the winter months. The yarn has a nice tight twist and doesn't split. it got a little fuzzy after frogging, but that's to be expected. I think the colors are nicely saturated, and I love the way it's not completely solid. I can't say I would use it again because for the price, the yardage is a little skimpy. I didn't run out of yarn, but I also didn't make them as tall as I was hoping to.

My changes (some stolen from other people):

I made it over 64 stitches with each repeat being k6p2. One sock has the cables twisting to the right while the other goes to the left. I used an eye of partridge heel.

Those are wonderful looking socks. How is the yarn to work with?

They are beautiful! Do you want one of the skeins of Aurelie?

Really neat! I think I'm almost ready for a project. I've been through most of the lessons in the book you gave me. I had some difficulty in one of the methods of increasing in purl, so I'll want you to look at it, and see if it was the method or just the tension.

This is a good distraction from my crochet project. :)

Hey.
I always see you on Liz's comment pages. lol. Liz and I go to school together. We were dorm room neighbors for a couple of years. You go to Iowa, right?... Because of Coralville's Crazy Girl shop thing. If so, i'll probably see you around there, if I can make it to the community knitting times.

Anyways, I love your socks! I love the color & texture! :)

Those are beautiful! I like how you were able to convert and make the cables go both directions. (this is the sock that you worked out the cables with someone else right? I'm not crazy?)
