I am in search of winter boots. I have had a pair since high school, but they are too small for me and pinch my toes which makes them cold and numb, therefor totally defeating the purpose of the boots in the first place. I like the idea of boots without laces so I can just pull them on or off easily to change to my regular shoes or slippers when I get home. Trying to untie boots with partially numb fingers is no easy task.

I really like this pair of Keens, but they are more than I want to pay. This pair from Land's End is definitely cheaper, but I am afraid they won't be really warm. This pair from Columbia is cheaper than the Keens, but still more than I want to pay. It's also kind of a cross between the first two boots. I want something I can wear with jeans to work and not have to take off if I don't want to. They need to be able to keep my feet warm while standing and waiting for the bus, which is notoriously late during the winter months. My current pair (similar to these)is so inflexible that it can be hard to walk after awhile. I figured after almost 8 years it's time for some new boots.

Any suggestions?

I have no boot suggestions, but I would like to take a moment to wonder how spam got past the word verification filter.

And French spam at that.

oh boy french cigarette deals. I think you can delete if you want to. Or keep it for novelty's sake...

Personally, I like the look of the Columbia boots. If you plan to go another 8 years before buying another set, totally worth the price! (of course I'm someone that has crappy, freeze my feet winter boots because I'm not outside often enough to justify upgrading)

I would go with the Keens, especially if you keep boots for 8 years! $120/8 = $15 per year. BARGAIN!

Or is my logic crazy?

I have Lands End boots that they apparently don't carry anymore. They're 300 gram ones, similar to the 400 gram ones on the website. I like them. They've lasted four years or so now and are still in good shape.

And hooray for cheap, no tax, French cigs! Ooh la la.
